Zombies and Vampires Return in This Week’s DC Releases

[ad_1]

DC Comics’ latest teams and duos–Task Force Z, Deathstroke Inc., Aquaman and Green Arrow, etc.–return this week with vampires, zombies and more.

From DC Comics this upcoming week, zombies, vampires and monsters are fought as team-up after team-up continue to forge in the upcoming comic releases for Nov. 13.

This Tuesday marks the end to writer Garth Ennis and writer Liam Sharp’s dark Batman miniseries, Batman: Reptilian. The series’ sixth issue will be its last, which will see the caped crusader and Killer Croc go up against Croc’s bloodthirsty offspring. Also coming from the world of Batman will be more Fear State-related titles. Though the event concluded with Batman #117, an epilogue set to release later this month, readers can pick up tie-ins to the event, including Catwoman #37, Detective Comics #1045 and Harley Quinn #9.

While reptilian creatures will be lurking in Batman, vampires and zombies will return this week in DC vs. Vampires #2 and Task Force Z #2. The zombie Suicide Squad is not the only team-up to grace DC Comics on Tuesday though. Deathstroke Inc. #3 (showing the mercenary riding a unicorn on the cover) and Aquaman/Green Arrow: Deep Target #2 both continue this week, with The Flash #776 set to feature Doctor Fate working alongside the scarlet speedster. At the end of Task Force Z‘s last issue, Red Hood’s squad was moving to eat him, so readers will have to see if any of these other titles and team-ups may feature similarly-harrowing stakes.

Also arriving this week is the final round of the Lazarus Tournament–Damian Wayne vs. Connor Hawke–in Robin #8. In addition, the conclusion to writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Alex Maleev’s Checkmate miniseries and the final issue of the anthology title Wonder Woman: Black and Gold will be available, along with Superman ’78 #4. And let me just say…I’ve jumped outta airplanes, faced down the baddest criminals in Gotham, thrown punches at Batman, and filed my own taxes without instructions from the IRS, but reuniting with Poison Ivy to try to save all of Gotham…? Let’s just say I’ve got a little anxiety. I’m only one well-dressed and overly verbal former psychologist turned heroic clown, after all. Which is why I’ve teamed with the Gotham City Sirens to take down Scarecrow and…wait…why is Keepsake here? This couldn’t just be an easy, straightforward mission, could it? I blame the writer…
