You Can Make Your Own Marvel Studios Fanfare Music Box

[ad_1]

The Marvel Studios opening theme now has its own custom-made music box, and fans can recreate it from scratch.

Superhero fans of a musical persuasion can now craft their very own Marvel music box to play the studio’s opening theme.

Thanks to the tried and tested method shared by creator Jared Pike of the YouTube channel Music Box Rox, creating your own music box has never been easier. Pike’s video showcases the finished product of his Marvel Studios Fanfare Music Box and demonstrates what fans can achieve themselves.

The music of Michael Giacchino’s iconic theme for Marvel Studios caught the attention of comic book fans, and Pike even printed images of the characters onto the music strip to resemble the opening sequence. The Marvel Studios opening has evolved throughout the franchise’s live-action longevity, with one paying homage to Stan Lee, and now the Marvel community can get to work creating their own music boxes.

By using a combination of tools, Pike has refined a method that reduces the amount of physical labor involved in producing music box strips. Most of the work is done by a Cricut cutting machine, which is tasked with punching out the holes so you don’t have to.

Pike’s method combined with Music Box Maniacs’ range of downloadable templates provides something for everybody, from Final Fantasy to Harry Potter themes. Most templates are uploaded by various users including Music Box Rox, which was inspired by Swedish composer Martin Molin’s Marble Machine. A separate tutorial was provided by Pike to help new creators navigate the website, download content and tweak those files on Adobe Illustrator so they’re print-ready.

The printing process takes a certain amount of time to complete, but the Cricut machine does all of the work and demonstrates Pike’s breakthrough in this particular craft. Prior to this discovery, most music box creators were punching each hole by hand, which Pike described as laborious.

The “Marvel Studios Fanfare” is one of the few Marvel templates in the library for now, but Pike’s creation has inspired a new wave of creators. Pike posted his video on Reddit, which attracted a lot of interested buyers, but he has encouraged them to create the sounds of Marvel themselves.

The MCU has plenty of themes that could be used for the next music box, including the signature Avengers theme or WandaVision‘s Sokovian Lullaby.
