What’s Up With That? Sony Adds Two Untitled Marvel Films to their 2023 Schedule

With the Venom: Let There Be Carnage end-credit scene, it seemed like things were going to start getting interesting for the Sony/Marvel deal and now we know that Sony has officially added two “Untitled Sony/Marvel Universe” films to the 2023 domestic release schedule. The films are slated to be released June 23, 2023 and October 6th, 2023. Currently Sony has plans for Morbius which will be out on January 13, 2022, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2 on October 7, 2022, and Kraven the Hunter on January 13, 2023.

Now there is nothing saying that any of those films are being delayed, so these are likely to be films that haven’t yet been announced. Sony has talked about a Sinister Six film more years as well as a film for the character Silk and a combo film for Black Cat and Silver Sable. There is also a mysterious movie to be directed by Olivia Wilde that is expected to be Spider-Woman… so there are quite a few options on what the films could be.

I might watch that.
