Straight out of Comic-Con@Home, horror fans got trailers for two hotly anticipated series that hearken back to the late 80’s.

First of all, coming in October, that terror inducing psychopathic doll Chucky will return to doing what he does best, as shown in a brand-new Chucky promo from Syfy. On Sunday, the network unveiled the complete trailer for the highly awaited horror series Chucky, which will see the original Chucky return for even more murder and mayhem. Both the trailer and the whole Comic-Con@Home panel have subsequently been made available online, and you can watch them both below.

Despite the fact that Child’s Play was rebooted in 2019, the new Chucky series reintroduces the original incarnation of the killer doll, which has been voiced by Brad Dourif since 1988. The new series, which stars Dourif again, is directed by Chucky creator Don Mancini and features several other famous faces from past films. However, at the center of the new show is a fresh set of people who will meet Chucky after a young boy discovers him at a yard sale. An peaceful American town is turned into chaos in the new Chucky television series when a vintage ‘Good Guy’ doll turns up at a suburban yard sale. Soon, everyone will have to deal with a string of heinous killings.

Obviously, the series will not mention MGM’s Child’s Play revival, which was released in 2019. The re-imagining, directed by Lars Klevberg and written by Tyler Burton Smith, stars Mark Hamill as a different version of Chucky. Longtime Chucky fans were worried that the relaunch would mark the end of Dourif’s rendition of the character, but Mancini was adamant about continuing the story of the original killer doll, which Cult of Chucky helped build up. Jake (Zackary Arthur) discovers a familiar-looking doll at a neighborhood yard sale in the first trailer for the Don Mancini-created series Chucky, which airs on USA and SYFY this October.

The first look at what to expect from SYFY’s new version on George A Romero’s legendary 1985 undead film Day of the Dead has been released, along with a premiere date. George A. Romero’s Day of the Dead is reimagined in a brand-new way. The new series, which will premiere on SYFY in October, is based on Romero’s classic zombie film of the same name. The teaser, which was released as part of SDCC@Home, gives a first look at what to expect from the highly anticipated long-form adaptation of the story, and it appears to be an amazing blast of blood, gore, and homages to the genre’s master.

The Day of the Dead TV series follows six strangers as they strive to survive the first day of a zombie apocalypse. The prospect of being eaten alive by some rotten corpses, like many other successful franchises featuring the walking dead, will once again prove that nothing can bring otherwise unlikely allies together like the threat of being eaten alive by some rotting corpses. Keenan Tracey, Daniel Doheny, Natalie Malaika, Kristy Dinsmore, and Morgan Holmstrom feature in the series, which is executive produced and directed by Steven Kostanski.

The first film in Romero’s zombie trilogy, which began with Night of the Living Dead and ended with Dawn of the Dead, was the final installment. While there have been a lot of sequels, remakes, and reboots based on the premise, this is the first time a series has been created. While Romero’s film focused on a gang of scientists and warriors attempting to discover more about their foe, it appears like the series will focus on an ordinary bunch of kids trying to avoid becoming zombie chow.

The new series will drop this October on SyFy.
