Marvel has just dropped a new trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, directed by former Spider-Man director Sam Raimi and featuring the return of Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange, Benedict Wong as Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Mordo, Rachel McAdams as Christine Palmer, Michael Stuhlbarg as Nicodemus West, and Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff.
In Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Mutiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary. The plot is being kept closely guarded, but some of the things we see match up to some of the rumors like the introduction of the Illuminati which may be the group that he is being brought to when he’s arrested.
“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” releases in U.S. theaters on May 6, 2022.
Marvel has also released a new 30 second spot for the upcoming Moon Knight series which is set to debut on Disney+ on March 30th. While there isn’t any big revelations, we get to see more of the costume in action including him using the cape to glide and it taking the shape of a crescent moon.
The series stars Oscar Isaac as the lead character who goes by many names including Steve Grant, Marc Spector, and of course Moon Knight. Joining the former Star Wars star are Ethan Hawke as Arthur Harrow, May Calamawy, Lucy Thackeray, and the late Gaspard Ulliel. While the comics focus on Spector as the main person and Grant and the others as personas, the synopsis for the series focuses on Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.
The all-new original series begins streaming March 30, only on Disney+
