Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys posts a scene from the series of Billy Butcher messing with Hughie that’s been translated into five languages.
A video posted by Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys shows Billy Butcher messing with Hughie in five languages.
The Boys‘ official Twitter account shared a scene between Karl Urban’s Billy Butcher and Jack Quaid’s Hughie. “Here’s Hughie having a lil hissy fit in every language. You’re welcome,” the caption reads. However, the scene isn’t actually translated in every language, it’s translated in just five: English, Czech, Portuguese, Italian and Spanish.
This prompted a response from Quaid on Twitter, who said, “I uh…resent the wording of this.” Quaid’s castmate Antony Starr, who plays Homelander, the villainous leader of the Seven, also replied to the original clip with a maniacal laugh.
Season 3 of The Boys began filming late Jan. 2021 in Toronto following production delays due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Though the official release date of Season 3 has not been announced, showrunner Eric Kripke has teased a mind-blowing first episode, calling it both “insane” and “special.” The Boys Twitter account also responded to Kripke saying the “editing room is fully covered in gore already and they’re only working on episode 1.” Both Kripke and The Boys‘ social media have been periodically teasing Season 3 while also making fun of fans who repeatedly ask for updates. Whether this video of Hughie’s hissy fit is part of that teasing is unclear.
Urban and Quaid will appear as Butcher and Hughie, respectively, in Season 3 of The Boys on Amazon Prime Video. The third season does not yet have a release date.
