Gamers discover an exploit in Call of Duty: Warzone allowing them to invade other players’ duels to unfairly eliminate them from a match.
A new glitch in Call of Duty: Warzone allows players to parachute into the Gulag ahead of their turn, allowing them to kill players in ongoing fights while remaining invincible themselves.
YouTube creator NTrippy uploaded a video of glitched Warzone gameplay, where he parachutes into the Gulag out of his turn and eliminates another player during their duel. The glitch makes him invincible to all damage, allowing him to punch the player to death uncontested. Since the defeated player technically loses their duel, they are then eliminated from the match.
In Call of Duty: Warzone, players take part in a battle royale until they are slain and sent to the Gulag. Before entering the Gulag, they must wait for a period of time before matching and dueling against another defeated player for a chance to re-enter the match. This newly discovered exploit allows players to leave the waiting area during the matchmaking stage and invade another player’s duel. Players could potentially abuse this glitch by infiltrating their squadmates’ duels and defeat a member of an opposing squad to ensure their teammate re-enters the main match.
NTrippy also uploaded a second Warzone video showing how he exploited the glitch. In the waiting area above the Gulag, the YouTuber manages to squeeze his character between a railing and an awning. This propels him past the invisible barrier and he parachutes into a duel between two other players, where he kills one of them at their spawn point. The duel then ends, and NTrippy spawns into his own duel.
The new discovery is far from the first glitch to be discovered in Warzone. The recent Season 4 update brought a deadly Call of Duty door to the Verdansk map that killed any player who touched it. Glitches like these have been exploited so frequently that Raven Software revealed it has banned over 500,000 Call of Duty accounts for cheating.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available on most major consoles.
