In Dragon Ball Super Chapter 74, Vegeta reveals the transformation he’s gained from his time training with Beerus.

In Dragon Ball Super Chapter 73, Granolah proved too much for Goku, landing a sneaky blow that knocked the Saiyan hero out of their fight. Then, Vegeta stepped into the battle, promising to defeat Granolah and wipe the Cerealians out once and for all. Dragon Ball Super Chapter 74 shows the first stage of that fight, which ends with Vegeta revealing a new transformation.
At the start of Dragon Ball Super Chapter 74, Vegeta goes Super Saiyan. While he doesn’t do poorly in the fight, it’s clear that Vegeta is outmatched and unlikely to beat his opponent. Thanks to his use of the Dragon Balls, Granolah is undoubtedly the stronger fighter — which Vegeta even admits. However, Vegeta also notes that there’s more to a fight than just raw strength. The Saiyan Prince then proceeds to trick Granolah into blowing up the remnants of a Cerealian city. This angers Granolah.
Vegeta, though, purposefully tricked Granolah into destroying the city so that he could confirm that the Cerealian is actually quite inexperienced with his newfound power. Vegeta notes training is an important part of being able to succeed in a fight, regardless of raw potential. This is likely a lesson he gleaned from his losses to Goku in spite of his superior power in Dragon Ball Z.
Still, Granolah looks to be the dominant fighter and lands a blow on Vegeta’s vital points right after the Saiyan Prince brags about having gotten stronger over the course of their fight. Vegeta, though, doesn’t go down like Goku did. Instead, he starts laughing. The Saiyan Prince then says he’s happy that he can finally battle on a planet where he can just let loose without worrying about having to protect others. That’s when he unleashes his new transformation.
One of the stipulations given to Granolah by Planet Cereal’s dragon was that his wish would not make him more powerful than divine beings. So if Vegeta has really tapped into the power of a God of Destruction in Dragon Ball Super, he stands a very good chance of being able to wipe Granolah out. The Cerealian, for his part, also has an incentive to protect Planet Cereal and its inhabitants, giving Vegeta, who seems to be focused solely on destruction, the edge. As such, Vegeta is about to demonstrate everything he’s learned during his time training with Beerus — and the results are sure to be destructive.
Vegeta and Granolah’s fight will continue in Dragon Ball Super Chapter 75, which releases on Aug. 18 through Viz Media.
