UK Charts: Bayonetta 3 Takes The Bronze In A Strong Week For Nintendo

We know you all love a good top ten UK chart on a Monday morning; what better way to kickstart the week?

Well, we have one for you right here – on time, no less! It’s a strong week for the Nintendo Switch, despite the gargantuan launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (the new Modern Warfare 2, not the old Modern Warfare 2 – Activision being very creative with its game titles there), with the newly released Bayonetta 3 coming in at third place. Considering the franchise is generally regarded as being rather niche, we’d say that’s a pretty darn successful launch! And a bit of controversy never hurts, right..?

Elsewhere, we’ve got the usual bunch making up the top ten, with Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga rounding out the pack at number ten, with Splatoon 3, Nintendo Switch Sports, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe charting just ahead. Jolly good show, Nintendo!

Meanwhile, however, Persona 5 has dropped out of the top ten to come in at number fifteen. It’s still killing it on the Switch, though, with Nintendo’s platform making up a whopping 81% of total sales.
