The latest episode of Titans, “The Call Is Coming From Inside the House,” sees a key hero unlocking the hidden powers inside of herself.

WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Titans Season 3, Episode 11, “The Call Is Coming From Inside the House,” available now on HBO Max.

Towards the end of last week’s episode of Titans, Komand’r/Blackfire was shot when the team’s attempt to turn itself in to Gotham City Police went awry. Koriand’r/Starfire then used her powers to heal her sister, but in the process, Blackfire actually gained them. This was a big turn for Blackfire, who had been ostracized her entire life due to her lack of powers on Tamaran. However, the latest episode of the series, “The Call Is Coming From Inside the House,” reveals all was not as it seemed concern their powers — and in the process, Starfire unlocks something hidden deep within herself.

Following her blow-up with Blackfire about whether or not they should help the Titans, Starfire goes to investigate her most recent vision, in which she saw a baby. At the location of that vision, Starfire meets a woman trying to buy medicine for her sick baby. However, the pharmacist is price gouging, so the woman isn’t able to afford to help her child. Thinking the child relates to her vision, Starfire goes after the woman and gives her medication for the baby.

Starfire isn’t able to get much information out of the woman, as they’re soon accosted by a man to whom she owes money. The man — who has drunk Gotham’s poisoned water — pulls a gun on them. Initially, Starfire tries to reason with the man, but he shoots her. This leads to another vision, this time of her childhood on Tamaran.

Starfire shows off her new powers in Titans Season 3, Episode 11, "The Call Is Coming From Inside the House."

In the vision, Starfire learns that she was actually born without powers. However, due to threats to the royal family, they lied and claimed she had powers. Then, when Blackfire was born, her parents took their new infant’s abilities and gave them to Starfire. However, the woman who performed the ceremony warned that there could be grave consequences for such an action. Starfire then comes out of the vision and begins glowing blue. She hits her attacker with a shot of blue energy and he goes flying.

By the end of “The Call Is Coming From Inside the House,” Starfire has unlocked a hidden power within herself. It’s not clear if this new ability is related to warning from the woman who performed the ceremony or just how powerful it really is. As such, future episodes are certain to show just what Starfire is now able to do.

However, there’s still the matter of Blackfire. Starfire just learned an incredibly huge secret regarding her sister. All of the suffering Blackfire endured was because her parents chose to give away her powers. This is a massive betrayal and could end up driving an even bigger wedge between the two sisters. If handled right, though, Starfire and Blackfire may just be able to work through the baggage given to them by their horrible, horrible parents.

The first 11 episodes of Titans Season 3 are available now on HBO Max. Episode 12 releases Oct. 14.
