A viral video shows a dispute between neighbors over one of the homeowners displaying a flag featuring the Winnie the Pooh character, Tigger.
A video shared by a TikTok user of a dispute with her neighbor over, of all things, a Tigger flag, has gone viral as people are shocked that someone would actually complain to a neighbor about them displaying a Tigger flag on the side of their house.
The video has captured the internet’s fascination ever since it was uploaded by TikTok user tizzybizzy92 (also known as Ambrosia), with nearly ten million views in just three days and over 2 million views on a follow-up video featuring the flag in question and a million views on a third video just discussing the online reaction to the original video.
In the original video, Ambrosia (who is a Black woman), is visited at her home by an older White woman (the whole incident was recorded by Ambrosia’s Google Nest security camera) who tells her, “I want to talk about this Tigger flag. I don’t like it.”
Ambrosia asks her, “Why not?”
The neighbor then tells her that she appreciates that Ambrosia’s home has a “real nice” American flag hanging outside the house, as well, and she makes a point to let Ambrosia know that she isn’t taking issue with any of the uncut shrubbery or grass in the backyard of the house, but that the flag is a major issue for her.
She then adds, “And we have rules. I don’t want to have to go find out what they are, but I don’t like that.”
Ambrosia then points out that there isn’t a homeowner’s association here, but the woman replies that there are rules for the community, she just doesn’t know what they are right now, but that the Tigger flag was an issue. She continued to add, “I’m just saying I don’t like it. It makes it look tacky — it makes the neighborhood look tacky.”
Ambrosia then says that she disagrees but that the other woman is entitled to her opinion. The other woman then left to go find the rules in question and Ambrosia tells her to have a nice day as she leaves, to which she does not reply.
Ambrosia then later added a video to show everyone the apparently controversial Tigger flag…
She also noted that TikTok initially deleted not only the video, but her whole account, but then they put it back up after she appealed.
