In preparation for the arrival of the Saints Row reboot, Epic Games allows players to download Saints Row: The Third Remastered for free.

Available from the Epic Games store, The remastered edition of Saints Row: The Third boasts enhanced graphics and all DLC additions, including the expansions “Genkibowl VII,” “Gangstas in Space” and “The Trouble with Clones.” Saints Row: The Third Remastered will be available for free until Sept. 2.
The game was originally released in 2011 and marked a turning point for the Saints Row franchise into a much more heightened, wacky experience than its contemporary, Grand Theft Auto. After conquering the underworld of their hometown and becoming celebrities in the process, the Third Street Saints shift their attention to Steelport to take on the Syndicate, a new criminal enterprise that makes enemies of Stillwater’s favorite street gang.
Recently, a reboot of the Saints Row franchise was announced at this year’s GamesCom. The new title, simply called Saints Row again, will dispense with later franchise developments like alien invasions and virtual reality worlds and get back to the basics of taking over cities through over-the-top criminality. The trailer introduces players to a new crew of Saints who hope to reclaim the Santo Ileso, a new borough based in the American southwest, from the gangs that control it. The new game will release on X-Box and Playstation consoles on Feb. 25, 2022.
