The Promised Neverland: Norman’s 10 Greatest Enemies

[ad_1]

Norman was one of The Promised Neverland‘s main characters. He lived in Grace Field with Emma, Ray, and his other siblings, but was shipped out before they were able to escape. Instead of being eaten like the children before him, he was brought to Lambda, where scientists did experiments on him. He ended up breaking out of Lambda’s grasp and escaped with all of the other children that were taken there.

After that, he became the escapees’ leader and they fought alongside him to defeat anyone that stood in the way of their freedom, whether they were a demon or a human. Because of this, Norman gained a lot of enemies by the end of the manga.

6 Lord Geelan & Norman Used Each Other To Accomplish Their Goals

Geelan prepares to revolt

Though Norman saw all demons as his enemies for a long time, he worked with Geelan in order to accomplish his goals. Geelan was a noble that cared about all of the demons. When his citizens were starving, he felt that it was necessary to share the Five Regent Houses’ meat with them. However, the others did not agree. The Geelan Clan’s vassal general, Dozza, pretended to support him until he learned enough about Geelan’s plan so he could betray and replace him, becoming a noble himself. Geelan was imprisoned, but this only caused his citizens to be more devoted to him. They sacrificed themselves so he would eat them, making it so it would take longer for him to degenerate.

700 years later, he began working with Norman so they could both get their revenge on the Five Regent Houses. Norman agreed to help Geelan become the king of the demons in return for all of the human kids to be released from the farms and live among the demons in peace. However, Norman knew that Geelan wouldn’t go through with his side of the deal and had a greater plan. He would use the Geelan Clan to fight against the Five Regent Houses and Queen Legravalima, hoping that they would kill each other. In the end, everything went according to Norman’s plan.

5 Krone Was One Of The First Enemies Norman Made

Sister Krone Is Perceptive In Promised Neverland Anime

When Norman first found out that the children in Grace Field were actually being harvested rather than adopted, he, Emma, and Ray tried to figure out how they could outsmart all of the enemies they knew about. However, they didn’t expect that there were obstacles besides Isabella and the demons they’d need to face. While they were forced to do housework, which served as a way to distract them, Krone was brought to the orphanage, which shocked and worried the children. In order to understand what they were capable of, Krone tested them by playing tag, which caused her to realize how special they were.

Though she pretended to work for Isabella, she actually wanted to replace her. In order to accomplish this, Krone decided to work with the kids. Norman insisted that they listened to her when she proposed this, knowing that she couldn’t do anything to them since she didn’t have authority. She ended up giving them useful information, hoping that it would serve her later on, but was betrayed by Isabella and killed shortly after. Before she died, she gave the kids William Minerva’s pen, proving to be more of an ally than an enemy in the final moments of her life.

4 Isabella Was Both A Loving Mother & A Huge Threat

Ever since Norman and his siblings were infants, Isabella took care of them. She acted like a loving mother and wanted what was best for them. She would often play with them and take care of Norman when he was sick, which happened often in the first few years of his life. Because of this, he and Emma were devastated to learn that she was working for the demons. They felt betrayed and knew that they’d need to stop her in order to escape. On the other hand, she knew that two of her children had found out the truth and needed to find out who they were. She heavily suspected that it was Norman and Emma, and soon learned that she was right.

Despite not wanting to hurt them, she needed to make sure that they wouldn’t escape and did everything that she could in order to stop them, even if it meant trapping them in rooms or breaking their bones. Before they could leave, Norman was shipped out and brought to Lambda, with Isabella letting him know that she did love him and wished him the best. The kids eventually returned to Grace Field, where it was revealed that Isabella had become the grandmother. She seemed to still be an enemy at the time, but actually helped the kids—along with all of the other mothers—go to the Human World. Despite everything that happened, Isabella truly loved Norman and all of the other children she raised.

3 Peter Ratri Treated Norman & His Siblings Horribly

Promised Neverland Peter Ratri

When Peter Ratri, the 36th head of the Ratri Clan and the mediator between the Human and Demon Worlds, first met Norman, he pretended to care about him. He asked Norman to help him with his research at Lambda, making it seem like he wouldn’t do anything to hurt him. However, Norman knew that he was the one being experimented on and eventually escaped with everyone else that was used for Peter’s research. For months, Peter wanted to capture all of the human kids that escaped, whether they were from Lambda, Grace Field, or any of the other farms.

He eventually found them at Norman’s base and brought most of them to Grace Field. Norman was one of the few kids that weren’t at the base at the time, fighting against the Five Regent Houses and Queen Legravalima instead. Because of this, Norman and the other children that weren’t at the base were able to save their friends and family from Peter, who hurt them more than any human before. They took control over Grace Field and after the mothers were revealed to be on their side, Peter was all on his own and committed suicide.

2 Lord Dozza, Duke Yverk, Lady Noum, Lord Pupo, & Lord Bayon Were The Five Regent Houses’ Leaders

TPN The Five Regiment House Leaders

Ever since Norman learned about the Demon World, he wanted to take down their government, with the leaders of the Five Regents Houses being enemies that he knew he had to kill. The only demons that had more power than them were Queen Legravalima and The One. Because of this, they were rarely associated with most demons, thinking that they were more important than them and using the farms to make this belief a reality.

However, they started getting concerned once Norman and his friends started saving the children from the farms, thinking that it was a thief that was eating their meat. When the Tifari began, Norman used the Geelan Clan to kill Dozza, Bayon, Noum, and Pupo. He and his friends then killed Yverk.

1 Queen Legravalima Was The Ruler Of The Demons

Legravalima is drunk on her own power

When Queen Legravalima learned about Norman, she wanted to eat him rather than give him to The One, secretly breaking the deal that the demons made with him centuries prior. During the Tifari, it seemed that Zazie had killed her. However, unlike most demons, she had two cores, allowing her to come back to life. When she did, she tried to eat Norman, who was saved by Cislo. She then ate all of the dead demons that surrounded her, giving her more power. Luckily, Sonju and Mujika helped Norman and his friends out.

Sonju fought against her and Mujika talked to her, distracting her so she wouldn’t eat Norman and the others immediately. She didn’t even notice that during her final conversation, everyone that she ate returned inside of her, including Bayon, Dozza, Geelan, and Krone. They were all able to get their revenge as they ate her. Soon, the demons would learn that Mujika’s blood could stop them from degenerating and the kids would return to the Human World, ending all of the terrible things that the queen did.
