Console players will soon have access to the Stellaris expansion Ancient Relics, with Paradox dropping a new trailer that reveals a console release.
Paradox Interactive has announced that the Ancient Relics Story Pack will be coming to Stellaris: Console Edition next week.
Ancient Relics was originally released for the PC version of the grand strategy game Stellaris in May 2019, but has remained unavailable for console players until now. Paradox has announced the release with a new trailer on its YouTube Channel.
The expansion adds multiple layers to Stellaris gameplay, such as allowing players to collect and acquire valuable relics, which can be uncovered via archaeological expeditions and general exploration. Once discovered, the relics offer significant benefits to in-game empires. Players are also able to investigate the back story of two extinct Precursor civilizations, the Baol and the Zroni, as well as explore and excavate new worlds.
Stellaris was released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2019, with the port receiving positive reviews from critics. Paradox has since supported the version of the game with numerous patches and updates, as well as adding the game’s expansions. Ancient Relics is part of the fourth expansion pass, which is also home to the add-ons Federations and Necroids Species.
Console players will be able to purchase Ancient Relics as a standalone add-on for $9.99, or as a part of the complete fourth expansion pass, for $24.99, following its release on Sept 30. The full details of the expansion can be found on Stellaris‘ website.
