Star Wars’ Jango Fett Gets Some Super-Wide JNCO Jeans in Fan Art

[ad_1]

A Star Wars fan has created an image that dresses Jango Fett in some extra-wide JNCO jeans, setting him up for a different sort of rebellion.

A mysterious Star Wars side character is rocking a whole new look — from the waist down, at least — in a sly new piece of fan art.

Posted by Twitter user @papagarbage1, the manipulation features Boba’s father, Jango Fett, with an extra-wide pair of JNCO in place of (or perhaps over) the usual armor on his legs. The image is captioned simply “jnco fett,” letting viewers put together the pronunciation joke themselves.

The tweet attracted a variety of responses, some of them taking the opportunity to dress other characters or celebrities in JNCO or post other Star Wars-related memes. “His ship got its name because he was a slave to fashion,” quipped one fan, making a reference to the Fetts’ famous spaceship, Slave One.

Jango Fett appeared in Episode II: Attack of the Clones, filling in the backstory of his son Boba Fett but leaving plenty of gaps in his own past. Jango is the DNA template for the Clone Army as well as the donor for Boba, who grew and lived as family member in contrast to the other clones.

JNCO is a Los Angeles-based clothes manufacturer known for men’s jeans with extremely wide legs, favored by some as an integral part of a rebellious-looking wardrobe. The acronym stands for “Judge None Choose One,” although it’s more likely to be pronounced in a similar way to the name “Jango.” A visual joke drawing the comparison might have been inevitable.
