Star Wars A Force Awakens Villain Was Part of the Bounty Hunter War

[ad_1]

In Star Wars’ War of the Bounty Hunters, a villain from The Force Awakens was part of one of the most dangerous bounty hunter teams in the galaxy.

WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Star Wars: Bounty Hunters #15 from Marvel, on sale now.

The Star Wars galaxy is filled with dangerous beings. Besides the Sith and the Jedi, there have been the Separatists, the Hutts, and many other threats that have made their presence known. However, few groups garner the same respect as the bounty hunters. While they may follow a code, each bounty hunter is dangerous and unpredictable in its own way. T’onga is one of the less experienced bounty hunters, but she just put together a team that could challenge any threat in the galaxy in Star Wars: Bounty Hunters #15 by Ethan Sacks, Paolo Villanelli, Arif Prianto, and VC’s Travis Lanham.

T’onga and her wife, Losha, had recently set out on a mission to end the crime war. This led them to the Mourner’s Wail Syndicate, where they learned of Crimson Dawn’s return, and were able to inform the Mourner’s Wail leader that he had an heir. This heir has the potential to end the crime war since she is also the heir to the Unbroken Clan. Bridging these two rival clans together would create one of the most powerful organizations in the galaxy.

In order to track down the heir, T’onga had to gather more hunters to join the cause, and one of the fighters she recruits is Tasu Leech, a bounty hunter who famously appeared in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Tasu Leech Star Wars

At the fighting pits of Nar Kanji, T’onga and Losha witnessed a battle between a behemoth with a sword for a hand named Rodrigu Battle and the future Kanjiklub leader Tasu Leech. Though he was greatly undersized, Leech made quick work of Battle and left him alive so he could challenge him again in the future. After the battle, Leech was quick to accept T’onga’s offer.

Leech is most famous for his appearance in The Force Awakens. Leech was the leader of Kanjiklub at this time and made a deal with the Guavarian Death Gang, another group that had been wronged by Han Solo. Together the two groups tried to apprehend Solo aboard his ship, the Eravana. Solo was saved by Rey who released creatures into the ship creating mass chaos. Tasu Leech was killed by one of these creatures.

Zuckuss Tonga team

T’onga needed more than just Leech if she planned to face off against Boba Fett or Crimson Dawn in the future. This led her to a Gand floating sanctuary deep in the Outer Rim. Inside, T’onga and the team located Zuckuss, who had recently lost his partner in a battle with Fett. He was infamous for his ability to locate people as a Gand Findsman and T’onga felt he was the perfect addition to find the heir. Though Zuckuss has been through the wringer lately, he could not turn down an opportunity to showcase his skills.

Though T’onga has now gathered a much more powerful crew, her mission has not become any easier. The trail for the heir of the Unbroken Clan and Mourner’s Wail has long been cold. Beilert Valance had entrusted a group of Rebels with protecting her and even he is unsure where the heir is located. Zuckuss was one of the last people to track her but was tempted by separate offers from both Valance and Dengar that made him divert his mission. Zuckuss has been through extreme tragedy since then. Even though he might want revenge and is the best person to try and find the heir, he has not been tracking her for some time.

The Rebels also could have created safeguards to protect her. Valance informed the Rebel group how important she was before leaving. The Rebellion is not going to simply give her up if T’onga and her small team of bounty hunters come calling. T’onga and her crew will either have to fight their way to the heir or sneak in and convince the heir to leave on her own accord. Either way, their mission may be more difficult than they ever imagined.
