Sly Stallone Confirms His MCU Return in Guardians of the Galaxy 3
If you’re like me and wanted to see more of the original Ravagers from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, you’re in luck!
Sylvester Stallone has posted to Instagram videos of him on the set of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 saying: “Here I am on the set of Guardians of the Galaxy, this is what they do beforehand. This is very sensitive equipment that films every expression you could possibly have that can be duplicated if you’re not around.” Stallone plays Stakar Ogord, leader of a clan of Ravagers and the one who freed Yondu (Michael Rooker) from being a slave of the Kree Empire.
He’s also the one that excommunicated Yondu for getting the children for Ego (Kurt Russell) as it went against the Ravager Code. In the comics, Stakar is also Starhawk, one of the original Guardians of the Galaxy when the team included characters like Charlie-27, Yondu, Vance Astro and more. James Gunn, director of the film, confirmed that production had begun on the third film in the franchise.
