Hey Shrek fans! We’ve got some amazing news! Shrek 5 and a Donkey spin-off movie are officially happening, and it’s going to be incredible! Eddie Murphy just dropped the bombshell that these long-awaited films are finally on their way. Can you believe it? After years of rumors and hopes, it’s actually happening!
Shrek 5 has been whispered about for what feels like forever, and now, with Murphy back as Donkey, it seems like a sure thing that Mike Myers will return as Shrek, Cameron Diaz as Fiona, and Antonio Banderas as Puss in Boots.
Murphy also mentioned, “No, not at the same time. I started recording Shrek, I think it’s coming out in 2025, and we’re doing a Donkey one next.” How fun is that? We’re getting a double dose of Shrek and Donkey adventures!
The first Shrek movie hit theaters back in 2001 and won the first-ever Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Its success led to three sequels, a Broadway musical, two spin-off films, a theme park ride, and it became a beloved classic for all of us.
Stay excited, Shrek fans! This is going to be amazing and so much fun! Shrek 5 here we come!
