Several PlayStation Exclusives Reportedly Coming to PC… But Not Bloodborne

[ad_1]

As rumors begin to circulate regarding the next PlayStation exclusives scheduled for PC ports, FromSoftware’s Bloodborne is not counted among them.

While rumors begin to circulate regarding more PlayStation exclusives potentially coming to PC, it seems that FromSoftware’s Bloodborne is not favored to be one of them.

According to PlayStation modder Lance McDonald, creator of the popular 60FPS mod for Bloodborne, there are a number of games inline for PC releases, but fans should not hold out hope for the cosmic horror souls-like. McDonald expressed that the game was not mentioned in any of the rumors they were aware of.

“If Bloodborne gets announced for PC, I’d love to smugly say ‘I secretly knew all about this!’ but it would be a lie. I am aware of multiple upcoming PC ports of PlayStation exclusive games, but sadly none are Bloodborne. However I still have hope it’ll just come out of nowhere,” said McDonald.

McDonald does not state that a PC port of Bloodborne is impossible, only that it is not in the current list of expected games. He continues, “For some reason a lot of people actually genuinely think I secretly know about unannounced Bloodborne projects. I keep searching for info, and looking into all the fake ‘leaks’ and ‘rumours’ but sadly there’s nothing there that I’ve found so far.”

Fans continue to hope that some of the more well-known PlayStation exclusives will eventually end up on PC following the successful port of Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Zero Dawn. Other titles, such as Days Gone and Death Stranding,  also made the jump after brief exclusivity periods. Rumors also began to circulate regarding Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima prior to the reveal of its director’s cut, as the label stating “Only on PlayStation” was removed from the game’s box.

Although no new PC ports have officially been announced, fans have been hoping for the likes of God of War and The Last of Us. Naughty Dog was recently at the center of PC port rumors following a report that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will eventually come to PC, potentially making it the only game in the series to not be a PlayStation exclusive.

PlayStation’s gradual cooperation with PC has not changed the release strategy for its games. Hermen Hulst, Head of Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios, stated that PlayStation consoles will “remain the best place to play our PlayStation Studios titles at launch…releasing games on PC will not come ever at the expense of building an exciting lineup of great console games.”

As for Bloodborne, the game has yet to receive a next-gen patch, despite McDonald previously stating that an official 60 FPS update should now be possible.
