Seven Seas announced on Wednesday that it has licensed The Idaten Deities Know Only Peace, I Don’t Really Get It, but It Looks Like I Was Reincarnated in Another World, and Namekawa-san Won’t Take a Licking! manga.
Seven Seas will release the first volume of Coolkyoushinja and Amahara‘s The Idaten Deities Know Only Peace (Heion Sedai no Idaten-tachi,) manga in April 2022. The company describes the story:
It’s been eight hundred years since the powerful Idaten deities sealed away the demons who plagued humanity. To the foul-mouthed Hayato, a young deity, the story is mostly a myth. For this new generation of idle deities, there’s just not much to do as they watch over humans in peace. But when the seal on the demons breaks, it’s up to Hayato and his oddball compatriots to come to humanity’s rescue! Can these misfit gods who know nothing of war rise to the challenge, or is a demon threat in a messy mortal world too much to handle?
Coolkyoushinja launched the manga in Young Animal in August 2018. The manga is a remake of Amahara‘s online manga of the same name. The manga’s fifth compiled book volume shipped in Japan on July 29.
The manga inspired an anime that premiered on Fuji TV‘s Noitamina programming block on July 22. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.
Seven Seas will release the first volume of Ashi, Keyaki Uchi-Uchi, and Kaomin’s I Don’t Really Get It, but It Looks Like I Was Reincarnated in Another World (Yoku Wakaranai Keredo Isekai ni Tensei Shiteita Yо̄ Desu) manga physically and digitally in May 2022. The company describes the story:
Ren is a young girl in a primitive world of magic and brutality. Sold as a slave and about to be delivered to an unscrupulous merchant, she suddenly awakens to vivid memories of a past life: a world called Earth, where Ren was both a grown man and a research scientist. Now, she must learn to survive, combining her knowledge of science from her past life with her talent in magic from this life.
Ashi, Uchiuchi, and Kaomin debuted the manga on Kodansha‘s Suiyōbi no Sirius (Wednesday Sirius) section on the Niconico service in October 2019. The manga’s eighth compiled book volume shipped on October 7. Ashi and Uchiuchi launched the light novel in January 2019. The story debuted on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in May 2017.
Seven Seas will release the first volume of Rie Ato’s Namekawa-san Won’t Take a Licking! manga (Nameraretakunai Namekawa-San) physically and digitally in June 2022. The company describes the story:
After putting up with years of bullying in junior high, Namekawa-san decides to make a preemptive strike when she starts high school. Her plan? Become a delinquent! At first, everything seems to be going great–her classmates are terrified. However, the head of the disciplinary committee is unfazed. She’s got her eye on Namekawa-san, and she refuses to look away in this explosive yuri comedy!
Ato debuted the manga in Ichijinsha‘s Comic Yuri Hime magazine in February 2020. The manga’s third compiled book volume shipped on August 6.
