Sega’s taking great care with Sonic’s next mainline outing, Sonic Frontiers. Apart from making the tough decision to delay the release in order to “brush up the quality” of the title, it’s also been added in additional features to make the experience more accessible to everyone.
As part of this, Sonic’s new game will bolster its localisation offerings – with even more supported languages in both voiced and subtitle form. Here’s the full rundown, courtesy of the official Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter account. Note: * for Xbox and PC only.
Sonic social media manager, Katie Chrzanowski, further explained how a lot of internal teams within Sega “pushed hard” for all of the different localisation options and gave a shoutout to all the localisation teams while she was at it:
“Very grateful that we were able to add more languages this time around (also shoutout to localization teams — unsung heroes!).”
Sonic Frontiers will be released across multiple platforms – including the Nintendo Switch – in Holiday 2022.
