Schultz & Cresta’s FORGOTTEN HOME coming to print

[ad_1]

Forgotten Home, the Ringo Award-nominated urban fantasy series from writer Erica Schultz, artist Marika Cresta, colorist Matt Emmons, and letterer Cardinal Rae, will be available in print for the first time next year. Originally released digitally as an eight-issue Comixology Originals series, the print edition of the series’ collection will be released by Dark Horse Comics. The collection will include the original issue covers by Natasha Alterici, as well as a main cover by artist Bill Sienkiewicz.

Here’s how Comixology describes Forgotten Home:

While investigating a series of child abductions in Montana, the case gets personal for Sheriff’s Deputy Lorraine Adalet when her teenage daughter, Joanna, disappears with a friend. Following the clues of otherworldly evidence leads Lorraine back to her long abandoned homeworld of Jannada. Mired in a never-ending war she escaped long ago, Lorraine had hoped to protect Joanna from her own past. Once in Jannada, Lorraine attempts a rescue mission to bring Joanna and the rest of the kidnapped children back to Earth; however, it’s not without resistance. Lorraine must confront her past with the evil Jannadan Queen and everyone else she abandoned all those years ago…not to mention an entire army of magic-wielding children! Meanwhile, Joanna’s allegiance hangs in the balance in this tale of family and fate.

On the announcement of the new print release, writer Erica Schultz expressed to The Beat her enthusiasm for the book being able to find a wider audience:

“I can’t express how excited I am to see Forgotten Home in print. Marika, Matt, Cardinal, and I have waited so long for this, especially after the Ringo Award nominations last year. We can’t WAIT to see that gorgeous Bill Sienkiewicz cover in person, too.”

Forgotten Home is the latest Comixology Originals series to get a print release from Dark Horse as part of the two publishers’ ongoing partnership. The arrangement has been in the news a few times lately, first with last week’s announcement of both digital and print releases for The All-Nighter, a new series from Chip Zdarsky and Jason Loo, and earlier this week with the news of writer Scott Snyder‘s massive eight-series deal with Comixology that will also see print releases for the titles from Dark Horse.

The print edition of Forgotten Home from Dark Horse Comics on Tuesday, April 5th, 2022. It is available to preorder from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and your local comic shop now.
