Natsume Renge, who is described as “Sanrio‘s Real Employee VTuber”, made his debut on YouTube this Monday with a short video introducing himself.

The Virtual YouTuber’s nickname is Merenge, and he is an employee of the Virtual Section of Sanrio‘s Marketing Division. His charm point is the three-tiered pancake on his head.

In his debut video, Merenge spoke briefly about his goals as a VTuber, “I want to make Sanrio characters shine brighter, and introduce as many people as possible to the charm of Sanrio.”

As for what viewers can expect from his channel, Merenge hints at the possibility of a comedy show that features other Sanrio characters. “I like comedy, and I’ve always wanted to be a comedian, so if I can perform with Kitty, I’d like to do a Sanrio comedy show with the material I’ve written”, said Merenge.

Merenge’s first stream is scheduled to go live on October 15.
