Robin gets a new origin, Action Comics’ Warworld Saga begins and more for readers to dive into with the DC Comics releases for Nov. 9, 2021.
Action Comics, Batman, Joker, Titans and more make up DC Comics’ releases this week.
In Action Comics #1036, the “Warworld Saga” that has been brewing within the book for some time now finally begins. If you wanted more of Superman and the Authority teaming up, this issue will show these allies work together to take on Mongul and free his prisoners in an event promised as being as big as both Death of Superman and Reign of the Supermen. The hero will also be featured in the second issue of Superman vs. Lobo out this Tuesday. However, the Man of Steel is not the only hero gracing pages this week.
In addition to the plethora of returning Batman-related titles to choose from, a brand new retelling of a young Dick Grayson’s origin as Robin begins with writer Jeff Lemire and artist Dustin Nguyen’s Robin & Batman #1. Other Batman titles releasing this week include The Batman & Scooby-Doo Mysteries #8, Batman: The Imposter #2, Batman: Urban Legends #9, Future State: Gotham #7, I Am Batman #3 and The Joker #9.
However, tie-ins to the HBO Max shows Pennyworth and Harley Quinn: The Animated Series release as well with the series’ fourth and third print issues, respectively. Also, Black Manta’s miniseries reaches the halfway point while Wonder Woman hits Issue #781. The full list for this week’s releases are shown below in alphabetical order.
