Report: Amber Heard Gets Heavily Reduced Screen Time in Aquaman 2

Despite her increasing unpopularity, it does not appear that Amber Heard will be removed from Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. However, the latest speculation suggests that her screen time as Mera will be substantially decreased.

The trial involving Heard and ex-husband Johnny Depp has gotten a lot of attention in recent weeks. Depp sued Heard for libel, seeking $50 million in damages, while she countersued for $100 million. Unfortunately for Heard, there are millions of individuals who disagree with her. A popular petition calling for her to be dismissed from Aquaman 2 has surpassed 3.6 million signatures, and it won’t be long until it reaches the 3 million mark. That’s a lot of people that are clearly unhappy.

Movie maven Grace Randolph recently reported that Heard has “less than 10 min of screen time in Aquaman 2.” There has not been any confirmation of this from Warner Bros., but reediting the film to cut back Mera’s presence could be one reason why Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom was delayed to 2023, as announced in March.

Meanwhile, Heard and Depp’s trial is only becoming more of an ugly spectacle, as she has suddenly begun accusing Depp of physical and sexual abuse. There’s been no evidence of these allegations, but it doesn’t keep the entertainment media from publishing a daily reporting of the couple’s testimonies.
