Regular Show: 10 Best Episodes, Ranked

Regular Show is now considered a modern classic by many. Regular Show aired on Cartoon Network as a children’s show. Despite this, adults and teenagers watch it, and for good reason. The characters are all well written and funny, each with their own dynamics. Many characters have become iconic. When people see raccoons, they think of Rigby, and when they see a bluejay, they think of Mordecai.

Regular Show has been nominated for and won an Emmy. Many fans struggle to pinpoint a bad episode without getting too nit-picky. Regular Show has proven its worth by running over eight seasons, and has received its own movie. A generation was able to grow up on Regular Show, garnering some nostalgia by watching it through HBOMax. Regular Show is by no means is a ‘regular’ show.

10 Party Horse (S6, Ep21)

If someone were to ask a Regular Show fan why it is so special, many would point to Party Horse. Party Horse embodies Regular Show‘s self awareness. The characters in Regular Show are very aware of the absurdity of the plot. The plot of Party Horse is to help a Party Horse pass a US history test, or the world perishes. The characters keep reminding the audience and each other about this ridiculousness, which is amusing to watch, especially when Mordecai and Rigby have to convince Benson to run with it.

9 The Last Laserdisc Player (S4, Ep 31)

The Last Laserdisc Player is a fan favorite for many people. There is something amusing about the characters fighting and sacrificing their lives to get ahold of a laserdisc, all to watch a directors cut of an old movie.

They learn that the laserdiscs were all destroyed. So, the characters themselves are ‘chosen heroes’ destined to use the last laserdisc. The Last Laserdisc Player, like most Regular Show episodes, ends with a big fight.


8 A Bunch Of Baby Ducks (S2, Ep23)

There is something intriguing in seeing a bunch of baby ducks learning from Mordecai and Rigby. Fans love A Bunch Of Baby Ducks because the baby ducks are not only cute, but also tough. These baby ducks do not hold back. These ducks murdered a person – although, that person was trying to kidnap them. As well, fans got to see Benson being scolded by a duck that forces him to apologize. In the end, A Bunch Of Baby Ducks is a hilarious, fan favorite episode.


7 Free Cake (S1, Ep5)

Free Cake displays Mordecai and Rigby’s determination in getting what they want by spending very little money. The pair set up a surprise birthday party for their co-worker/friend, Skips, all for the sake of having cake. The duo realize that, in trying to throw the surprise party, they jeopardize Skip’s life as they interrupt his ritual which grants him immortality. The duo make the right decision in sacrificing the cake for their friends life, which makes fans like them even more than they already did.


6 Death Punchies (S1, Ep4)

Death Punchies

Death Punchies is one of the best episodes of Regular Show as it shows the complex relationship between Mordecai and Rigby. Though the two are best friends, they often get into fights that tend to risk their lives.

Rigby, frustrated that he always loses at the game of punchies, decides to learn a move that would potentially kill Mordecai. Of course, Mordecai is there to eventually apologize. Death Punchies gives fans an insight to the characters. Especially how, despite all their fighting and bickering, the main duo really care for each other.


5 This Is My Jam (S2, Ep 13)

This Is My Jam is amusing and relatable. Just about anyone loves to listen to an old song that they used to jam to, and fans know the feeling of getting a song stuck in their head. This Is My Jam is also one of the first episodes to show the whole park gang come together for a cause, despite not being important. Every fan can agree that getting a song stuck in your head is annoying. According to Regular Show, it’s more annoying than death.


4 Death Sandwich (S4, Ep14)

Benson tries to get revenge on Mordecai and Rigby for all the trouble they’ve caused by eating their sandwich. At the forefront, it doesn’t seem lethal at all. To Benson’s demise, he was taking a bite out of the death sandwich. If not eaten correctly, the death sandwich is – surprisingly – deadly. Death Sandwich shows how Mordecai and Rigby go on a death-kwon-do quest to save their boss, wearing their famous mullets and jean-shorts. Fans of Regular Show appreciate this episode for it’s call back to Death Punchies.




3 A Bunch Of Full Grown Geese (S4, Ep19)

A Bunch Of Full Grown Geese is a celebration of what makes Regular Show great. Hitting the 100 episode mark, Full Grown Geese brings back the beloved baby ducks for another adventure. This time, they have to face their greatest enemies: geese. Full Grown Geese makes a spoof of the Neon Genesis Evangelion and went full Mecha anime. Many fans appreciated this parody.

The baby ducks form together into a Mecha, wearing attire that calls back to previous episodes. The baby duck’s return automatically make Full Grown Geese all the more amazing.


2 Eggscellent (S3, Ep17)

Eggscellent won Regular Show an Emmy. Eggscellent displayed the friendship between Mordecai and Rigby. Mordecai is willing to do anything for his friend, even if it costs him his life. Fans love Eggscellent as it’s off the walls from the very get go. The challenge doesn’t seem as absurd in comparison to other episodes, but the jump cut from Rigby taking the challenge and being sent to the hospital amplified the gravity of the episode.

Rigby was willing to take the challenge, despite being allergic to eggs. He went through all of this just for a hat, which is very on-brand for Regular Show’s chaotic and nonsensical energy. However, fans respect Rigby for this commitment.


1 The Power (S1, Ep1)

The Power - Regular Show

The Power is the episode that started it all. It gave fans the perfect introduction to the park gang and to the leading two characters. Fans get to see Mordercai and Rigby trying to get a raise from Benson. The Power also demonstrates to fans what Regular Show is all about.

The Power perfectly displays how Regular Show focuses on the protagonist’s absurd adventures that typically start with a very small problem. If it weren’t for The PowerRegular Show may never have kicked off in its popularity as one of the best cartoons of the past decade.
