Red Skull Just Created a New Version of a Deadly Marvel Movie Villain

[ad_1]

As the Red Skull continues to create supervillain variants with the Infinity Stone shards, his next creation channels a new Marvel movie for his latest minion.

WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Avengers: Tech-On Avengers #4, on sale now from Marvel Comics.

The comic book miniseries Avengers: Tech-On Avengers has seen the Red Skull obtain the shards of the Infinity Stones and use them to upgrade himself into an omnipotent figure capable of distorting the fabric of reality with a wave of his hand. After stripping the superpowers from the Avengers as he made his grand entrance, the Red Skull has been using his powers to create variants of several of the Marvel Universe’s greatest supervillains to carry out his plans around the world. As the Red Skull’s first wave of pawns fails to overpower Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, he decides to craft a new monstrous minion based on one of the major supervillains from Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

To compensate for the loss of his teammates’ powers, Iron Man unveiled a line of custom armor tailored to each of the Avengers’ unique powers as they battled to defend Japan from a variety of supervillains created by the Red Skull with his newly acquired cosmic powers. The Red Skull’s latest setback was the defeat of an Ultron facsimile by the armored Avengers as the evil android launched a daring attack on Tokyo. Frustrated that his plans continue to be foiled at every turn, despite his massive upgrade and the Avengers lacking their usual powers, the Red Skull unveils his latest creation to destroy his enemies: Scream Supreme, with the supervillain making her debut in Avengers: Tech-On Avengers #4 by Jim Zub, Jeffrey “Chamba” Cruz and VC’s Travis Lanham.

Scream Symbiote Avengers

Scream has returned to prominence in the Marvel Universe along with the resurgence of Carnage and Knull, the dark god of symbiotes. After the Scream symbiote bonded with Patricia Robertson to help Carnage track down more symbiote codices around the world to reawaken Knull, the symbiote moved to take on a new host in Andi Benton. They would go on to oppose Carnage and his murderous cult. Andi would continue to host the Scream symbiote through the crossover event King in Black before eventually having the symbiote burned out of her body by Carnage during the subsequent crossover event Extreme Carnage.

The properties of Scream Supreme are currently unknown but each of the supervillains that the Red Skull has created from the Infinity Stone shards has demonstrated the signature powers and personality of their source material characters. And while not possessing anywhere near the same level of omnipotence as the upgraded Red Skull, each of the supervillains he created contains a fraction of the cosmic power from the Infinity Stone shards. Red Skull has used his powers on three previous supervillains, but it is unknown if Scream Supreme has the same level of power though she appears monstrously formidable, nonetheless.

Avengers Red Skull

Avengers: Tech-On Avengers has shown that, even without their usual superpowers, the Avengers are still very much Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Every cosmic twist on a classic supervillain that the Red Skull has thrown the Avengers’ way has been handily defeated by the armored superhero team, with Ultron as the latest antagonist to fall. Although the Red Skull appears to be pulling out all the stops to defeat his opponents by unveiling a twist on Scream, if the armored Avengers’ track record holds, even Scream Supreme won’t be able to stop the combined might of the Avengers and their Tony Stark-crafted upgrades.
