We’re not saying Link should be a bit of a better swimmer after appearing in so many games, but given the scope of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s world — and its beauty — we’re a little bit sad we can’t do a bit more exploring in the depths of the lakes and oceans.
Well, that’s if you limit yourself to the game’s actual mechanics. Breath of the Wild has seen numerous tricks, glitches, and exploits uncovered over the years, and YouTube channel Gaming Reinvented has once again come up with the goods, sharing a method that will let you sink right to the bottom of the ocean floor (or the lakebed) to take a little look and the hidden secrets underwater.
This trick is pretty involved, but if you want to get a better look at all of that lovely coral and underwater wildlife in Hyrule, then this is what you’ll need to do. First, set up the moon jump trick by participating in the horseback archery minigame, then go to Ridgeland Tower to start another minigame — the Bird-man Research. Moon jump to Lurelin Village. Open the middle chest there, warp and walk to where you want to explore, make sure your stamina is depleted, then jump over the water and get ready to use Cryonis.
Gaming Reinvented’s video below explains everything in a bit more detail but with this trick, you’ll get to see a whole part of Hyrule you never could have before.
Will you try this out? Have you used any other underwater exploits and tricks in Breath of the Wild? Let us know!
