Quantumania Gets a New, Bizarrely Illegible Logo

A behind-the-scenes photo from Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania debuts the Marvel Studios film’s strange new alternate logo.

A behind-the-scenes photo from Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania reveals a new, alternate logo for the third Ant-Man film — and it’s a doozy.

The photo, shared by a crew member on Twitter, sees the new Quantumania logo on the back of a chair. The film’s normal logo features the “Ant-Man and the Wasp” title small text, with the “Quantumania” subtitle appearing just below it in big, blue letters. This new logo follows that same layout, though “Quantumania” is now written in a bizarre script, possibly otherworldly in origin. In fact, the text would probably be indecipherable if we didn’t already know the title of the movie.

The strange text in the new Quantumania logo is of note, as the Ant-Man threequel is set to feature the cosmic, multiverse-spanning Marvel supervillain Kang the Conqueror — played by Jonathan Majors — as its main antagonist. Majors made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as He Who Remains, a variant of Kang, in the Season 1 finale of Marvel Studios’ Disney+ original series Loki.

Quantumania also marks the return of Ant-Man franchise veterans Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, Hope van Dyne/Wasp, Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne, respectively. Additionally, the film stars Kathryn Newton, who takes over the role of Cassie Lang. Cassie was previously portrayed in the first two Ant-Man films by Abby Ryder Fortson, and in Avengers: Endgame by Emma Fuhrmann. Production on Quantumania is currently underway. The film was previously scheduled for release on Feb. 17, 2023, though was recently delayed five months to July 28.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania releases in theaters on July 28, 2023.
