1st animation made for smartphone game is part of larger update
Sega began streaming a new animated opening sequence for the Puyo Puyo!! Quest smartphone game on Wednesday. The new opening sequence is the first animation made for the game, and features the theme song “Koko kara Motto! Puyo Puyo!” by Saran Tajima as her character Atari.
The new opening sequence is part of a larger update for the game that includes new characters and story.
Sega released the game on iOS and Android devices in 2013.
The latest main installment of the long-running Puyo Puyo puzzle game series is Puyo Puyo Tetris 2. Sega released the game for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 in December 2020, and released it on PC via Steam on March 23.
