“[MGM executives] Mike and Pam understand that we are at a critical juncture and that the continuing success of the James Bond series is dependent on us getting the next iteration right and will give us the support we need to do this,” he says.
With the Amazon acquisition completed, fans of the legendary spy are left to question if Bond will continue to grace the silver screen or whether his exploits would now be available on Amazon Prime. Broccoli and Wilson have now spoken out, saying that “Amazon has promised” them that James Bond would continue to introduce himself in theaters, before endorsing Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy’s leadership of MGM. “Our hope is that they [Amazon] will empower Mike and Pam to continue to run MGM unencumbered,” they added.
One of the most heated debates surrounding Daniel Craig’s impending departure is who will be the next to don the tux and wield the license to kill. Without question, this is the most important aspect of the next edition for Broccoli and Wilson to get right, and numerous names have been circulated to take over for quite some time.

No Time to Die starts up five years after villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld’s arrest, with James Bond having retired from active duty. Felix Leiter, a friend and CIA official, approaches him and asks for his assistance in the search for Valdo Obruchev, a missing scientist. Bond must fight a villain whose ambitions might result in the deaths of millions as it becomes clear that Obruchev has been kidnapped. The film is scheduled for release on October 8 in the US, directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga and based on a screenplay by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, Fukunaga, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
