The happiness Pokemon itself, Blissey, is bringing some egg-cellent support to Pokemon Unite in a new update scheduled for later this week.
Pokemon Unite is getting a new support character in the free-to-play MOBA’s latest update due out later this week.
As unveiled in the announcement trailer from the official Pokemon Unite Twitter account, Blissey will be joining the game’s roster in a support role. The fairy-type Pokemon has access to moves that can either heal or increase the basic attack speed of its teammates. What’s more, Blissey’s Unite Move — Bliss Assistance — sees it rushing quickly to its teammates for aid and protection from the enemy team’s attacks. Blissey will be ready for battle following an update scheduled for Aug. 18.
Blissey is an egg-cellent Supporter Pokémon with moves that heal or increase basic attack speed! Its Unite Move, Bliss Assistance, allows it to dash to an ally’s aid and protect that ally from attacks.

For players who haven’t been keeping up to date on the new free-to-play MOBA, Unite‘s latest update introduced Gardevior as a ranged attacker back in July. However, that same update saw Charizard’s Unite Move combined with the Muscle Band item get significantly nerfed from 30 thousand damage to around 11 thousand.
Trainers eager to hop into Pokemon Unite should also note the game’s “concerning” and “highly predatory” monetization system. As highlighted by vocal community members, players have the option to either grind for in-game currency or spend real-world money to obtain “actual gameplay boosting items.” Such gameplay boosting items substantially affect a player’s damage, movement speed, healing and more, leading concerned players to label the game “pay to win.”
Developed by TiMi Studios and The Pokemon Company, Pokemon Unite is currently available to download for free exclusively on the Nintendo Switch. The game is set to release on mobile devices this September.
