The Johto region is coming to Pokémon Smile! If you — like many of us — had forgotten about the smartphone app that encourages kids to brush their teeth, then don’t feel too bad. The app only received its first update last November, and The Pokémon Company has finally scrubbed up enough for a second.
Version 2.0.0 adds over 100 Pokémon to Pokémon Smile, including all of the Johto region ‘mons. The Gold & Silver community needs to get ready for how cute some of these things look — we could just squish them! We’ve grabbed a handful of favourites, but you can check them all out over on Serebii!
We could talk about just these designs forever — look how non-threatening The Pokémon Company has made a pseudo-legendary!? But there are some other things to cover too. The app will be getting new stickers, frames, and the ability to change partner Pokémon. Here are the full patch notes!
Pokémon Smile Ver. 2.0.0 – 3rd June
– New Pokémon and Pokémon Caps added.
– New Stickers and Frames to use with the Decorate feature added.
– Added a feature allowing users to change the Pokémon partner they brush their teeth with.
– Bug fixes.
If you’re still using Pokémon Smile with your kids, then this update will definitely be for you! But it does leave us wondering — where is Pokémon Sleep? We’ve not heard about that game for three years!
Tell us your favourite new Pokémon that’s been added to the app in the comments!
