The thing with Flik is that even though he is one of the smartest ants in his colony, he is also very lazy and he hates the idea of working his whole life, especially because he has to do it to keep the grasshoppers happy, not to help his own colony. This makes perfect sense.
9 22’s Laziness Is Really Her Fear Of Failure
22 is a cynical soul that has spent hundreds of years at the Great Before instead of having a life on Earth because she does not find it appealing. This is until she meets Joe, whom she helps in his quest to return to his real life in the movie Soul.
22 never feels any joy doing anything and it seems like she does not find anything interesting or worthy to be done. However, by the end of the movie, she can do anything she sets her mind to, which proves that her laziness was just a facade to avoid her fear of failure.
8 Ian Lightfoot Does Not Take Responsibility For His Attitude
Ian Lightfoot is Onward‘s main character. He is a 16-year-old elf with a sweet nature and many ambitions, but he is also too insecure to commit to his plans. He lives with his mother and his brother, Barley, who is the opposite of Ian.
Although he is shown to be perfectly capable of anything, Ian tends to be very anxious and he has convinced himself he wouldn’t suffer so much if his father was with him. This idea is nothing but a mental crutch that Ian carefully crafted to avoid facing any kind of fear.
7 Lightning McQueen Rathers Losing His Friends Than Doing His Own Job
Before ending up at Radiator Springs, Lightning McQueen was a racing champion who loved winning and being in the spotlight. However, he soon realized there is more in life than professional success and started changing.
At the beginning of Cars, McQueen considers himself too important to do anything beyond racing, but this just means he was too lazy to even think about anything else. Regardless, during the movie, he realizes his selfishness will take him nowhere, and after a change of heart, he starts living up to his potential, even helping the town of Radiator Springs to get better.

Princess Merida of DunBroch is the daughter of King Fergus and Queen Elinor in Brave. Although she is expected to fulfill her duties as a princess, she is rather tomboyish, which causes her problems with her mother. Merida is a true adventurer who prefers to be a hero rather than a damsel in distress.
Merida is not so much plain lazy as she is incapable of feigning interest in things that do not matter to her, such as royal obligations and social standards. Because of this, people believe she is just trying to get out of her responsibilities all the time.

Slinky is a plastic toy that resembles a dachshund dog in Toy Story. He has a plastic front and hindquarters that are connected through a metal slinky and he speaks with a strong Southern accent.
Since Slinky is a secondary character, he does not get many moments to prove his abilities. However, Slinky tends to have good ideas, especially when it comes to helping friends. Although he never refuses to help anyone, Slinky is always shown with a lazy, resting face with his upper eyelids almost closed.

Dashiell Robert Parr, mostly known as Dash, is the middle child of the Parr family in The Incredibles. He is the son of Bob and Helen Parr and a brother to Violet and Jack-Jack. He is a 10-year-old boy with super speed that struggles with his excess of energy, unable to use his powers in the regular world.
It is very obvious that Dash is a perfectly capable kid, but he keeps getting in trouble in school and he just does not want to take any kind of responsibility in the classroom. This attitude changes when he becomes a superhero, which shows that he was just lacking the proper motivation.

Ernesto de la Cruz is the main antagonist of Coco. He is a dead famous Mexican artist who resides in the Land of the Dead. Although he presents himself as a charming and talented man, Miguel Rivera discovers that Ernesto is nothing but a con artist and that all of his life’s work was stolen from his best friend, Héctor.
Ernesto de la Cruz is a very good example of a person that could have gotten far if he had applied himself. After all, he was smart enough to concoct a scam and carry it out for many years. Maybe he should have used his brain to create something new instead of just plotting to steal from his best friend.

Crush is a sea turtle that Marlin and Dory meet on their way to find Nemo in Finding Nemo. Crush is a 150-year-old turtle that lives a relaxing life with his son, Squirt, and who rather not worry about anything out of his control.
The thing with Crush is that he is basically a surfer dude, which means he is chill. Maybe too chill. However, he is also 150-years-old, which means he has lived many experiences during his life. Because of this, he happens to be very wise and he has great advice for his new friends, especially for Marlin, who is the opposite of Crush, a neurotic clownfish.
1 Mike Wazowski Could File His Paperwork If He Wanted
Mike Wazowski is one of the main characters of Monsters Inc. He is a green spherical cyclops who works in Monsters Incorporated as a Scarer Assistant to Sulley, his best friend and roommate. Together, they are the top scarer team of this energy-producing factor and everyone admires them.
As a long-time worker on Monsters Incorporated, Mike has the experience for his job as Scarer Assistant for Sulley, he understands statistics, he can project them in the future and he is in charge of the whole process while Sulley only scares the kids. The only problem with Mike is that he is lazy and he only likes the practical part of the job, which is why he is always getting in trouble with Roz for not filing his paperwork.
