Peppa Pig Absolutely Merked Kanye West on Twitter

[ad_1]

Peppa Pig took shots at entertainer Kanye West by pointing out that Pitchfork gave Peppa’s sophomore album a better rating than West’s Donda LP.

Peppa Pig hilariously dunked on Kanye West following the release of the rapper’s latest album Donda.

The official Twitter account for Peppa Pig tweeted and deleted a shady meme on Friday, which showed a side-by-side photo of the ratings awarded to both Donda and Peppa’s Adventures: The Album by Pitchfork. As seen in the image, Donda received a rating of 6, while the Peppa Pig LP received a 6.5 rating.

Adding insult to injury, the caption on the post read, “Peppa didn’t need to host listening parties in Mercedes-Benz Stadium to get that .5.” The explanation, of course, was in reference to the fact that West held massive listening parties at Soldier Field in Chicago and inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta ahead of dropping Donda on August 29.

While the post is no longer up, critics of West were quick to take screenshots and share them, adding commentary like, “NOT PEPPA PIG DRAGGING KANYE.”

In its July 31 review of Peppa’s Adventures: The Album, Pitchfork praised Peppa for evoking Fiona Apple on “Recycling” and for exploring British and American folk music on the upbeat “The School Bus Song.” In comparison, Pitchfork wrote that there was a “lack [of] connective tissue” throughout Donda and described West’s 10th LP as “a data dump of songs searching for a higher calling.” Yikes.

Released on August 29, West’s Donda album is named after his late mother, who passed away in 2007. The album consists of 27 tracks and features verses from the likes of Francis and the Lights, JAY-Z, Playboi Carti, The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Lil Durk, Lil Yachty, Young Thug, Kid Cudi, Stalone, Jay Electronica and Swizz Beatz.
