Tom Holland teases fans about Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield rumors in a new promo celebrating Spider-Man: No Way Home tickets going on sale.
A new promo celebrating Spider-Man: No Way Home tickets going on sale teases fans about Tom Holland’s co-stars in the film.
Fandango shared a new video on Twitter to announce that tickets are now on sale for the next Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. Fans across the social media site have been lamenting their struggles to nab tickets to No Way Home in their area, as it seems everyone is keen to see the movie as soon as possible. And one of the driving forces is likely that former Spider-Men Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire have long been rumored to appear. The new promo doesn’t reveal as much, but it certainly has fun with the idea.
The promo opens with Holland saying “two very special friends” will be joining him before the camera pans out to reveal Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds) and Zendaya (MJ). The two say it “makes sense” for them to be alongside Holland, with the actor responding, “Of course. I mean, who else would it be?”
Ever since it was announced that Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange would serve as Peter’s mentor in the third film in his MCU trilogy, fans have been speculating that a multiversal plot was in the works. That was confirmed when the first No Way Home trailer revealed the merging of various worlds, with Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus appearing and Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin being teased. The second No Way Home trailer held back even less, fully revealing Green Goblin alongside Sandman, Lizard, and Jamie Foxx’s Electro.
But since the first details emerged about the movie, there have also been consistent rumors that Garfield and Maguire will also return to reprise their respective roles. Other actors from the previous franchises have been teased as well, but many fans seem all but certain that at least the two former Spider-Men will be involved somehow. Maguire hasn’t touched on the rumors, but Garfield has repeatedly denied playing a part in Holland’s latest adventure. For now, it seems only the film’s premiere will provide a definitive answer.
To see who else joins Holland in the film, see Spider-Man: No Way Home in theaters on Dec. 17.
