A behind-the-scenes video for Spider-Man: No Way Home reveals Harry Holland’s cut cameo in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s latest film.
A newly released video for Spider-Man: No Way Home shows the one cameo fans didn’t get to see on the big-screen: Tom Holland’s brother, Harry, being webbed up.
The behind-the-scenes video for No Way Home, which you can see below, was released on YouTube by Georgia FMDE and looks at how the film was brought to life in Atlanta, with actors such as Benedict Cumberbatch and Benedict Wong praising the experience. In the video, an actor is shown being strung upside down. This is Harry, who played a burglar in the film until his scene was cut.
Speaking about the process of filming the scene, Tom Holland explained in an interview that Harry found the job particularly difficult, though he was excited to appear in No Way Home. Unfortunately, Harry’s scene was cut, and it’s unknown at this time if a finished version of him playing a burglar will end up on the digital or home media releases of No Way Home.
Since arriving in theaters earlier this month, No Way Home has proven a massive success for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After earning the second-highest grossing domestic opening weekend ever, No Way Home has gone on to earn more than $779 million at the worldwide box office. That’s despite having not opened in China — one of the biggest movie markets in the world — and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which is still keeping many out of theaters.
Critically, No Way Home has also been a massive success. At the time of writing, No Way Home holds a 94 percent on Rotten Tomatoes among critics, with the audience score sitting somewhat higher at 99 percent. This makes No Way Home the second-best reviewed MCU movie, with 2018’s Black Panther being the only MCU film with a better critical score on the review aggregator.
Just when Holland will next appear as Spider-Man in the MCU isn’t totally clear. However, while No Way Home serves as the end to a trilogy, Disney and Sony are actively working on Spider-Man’s future. Holland has also reportedly already signed on for a fourth Spider-Man film.
Directed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man: No Way Home is in theaters now. In addition to those mentioned above, No Way Home stars Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Zendaya as MJ and Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds.
