Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is just a few months away, after the anticipated RPG was brought forward from its initial September launch to July 29th.
With this in mind, Nintendo is starting to lift the lid on Monolith Soft’s latest entry to the beloved franchise, giving us glimpses of gameplay and providing new details on its battle system. In a couple of recent videos, new quality of life enhancements have been showcased that – if you’re a fan of the franchise – will no doubt be very welcomed.
In the first video, Nintendo demonstrates that you can seamlessly switch between characters on the fly, even during battle sequences. This will allow players to dive deeper into the already feature-rich combat system, allowing you to experiment with different characters’ abilities in quick succession.
The second video showcases a new “quick move”, which you can activate during combat to quickly holster your weapon and reposition yourself within the battlefield. This looks to greatly enhance your ability to set up position-based offensive attacks, which have been staples of the franchise from the very beginning.
While hardly groundbreaking updates, these quality of life enhancements will hopefully result in a much smoother gameplay experience with Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
What do you make of these gameplay enhancements? Will you be picking up Xenoblade Chronicles 3 on July 29th? Let us know!
