An ongoing guide to Disney+’s Hawkeye, including news, Easter eggs, rumors, reviews, recaps, theories and more.

WARNING: The following will contain constantly updated spoilers for Hawkeye on Disney+.

Following Marvel’s What If…?, Disney+ is returning to the live-action format for its latest Marvel Cinematic Universe series. Set more than a year after the events of Avengers: Endgame, Hawkeye opens with Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) once again trying to enjoy time away from the world of superheroes. However, that  peace is short lived when he discovers on a family trip to New York City that someone is wearing his old Ronin costume: Kate Bishop, played by Hailee Steinfeld. From there, the two take on the world of street-level crime in the MCU.

With a new episode arriving each Wednesday on Disney+, there is a lot to unpack, so keep up to date with the latest details right here on CBR’s Hawkeye Hub Page.

Hawkeye Cast, Crew & Interviews

Jeremy Renner returns to the role of Clint Barton, along with Linda Cardellini as his wife, Laura Barton. Their family consists of Lila (Ava Russo), Cooper (Ben Sakamoto) and Nathaniel (Cade Woodward). Also returning to the MCU is Florence Pugh, who’s reprising her role from Black Widow. In that MCU film, the end credit scene featured Yelena Belova (Pugh) receiving a tip from Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) that Hawkeye was behind Natasha Romanoff’s (Scarlett Johansson) death, so the show will likely pick up on that loose end.

Hawkeye is also going to be seeing many new faces, with Hailee Steinfeld portraying the co-lead, Kate Bishop, another Hawkeye in the comics. She is joined by Vera Farmiga, who’s portraying Kate’s mother, Eleanor, and Brian d’Arcy, who’s portraying Kate’s dad, Derek. On the villain side of things, Tony Dalton is portraying Jack Duquesne, who’s already set himself up to be a suspicious figure and antagonist for Kate. Meanwhile Fra Fee plays Kazi, a deadly foe from the comics, and Alaqua Cox plays Maya Lopez, aka Echo. At the time of this writing, Echo seems to be pulling the strings behind the Tracksuit Mafia, and her father, William Lopez (Zahn McClarnon) has yet to appear.

Hawkeye Easter Eggs and MCU References

The Tracksuit Mafia as seen in Marvel's Hawkeye on Disney+

Hawkeye was set up from the start to have plenty of Easter eggs from the comics, as it clearly is pulling from the wider Marvel universe, including the David Aja and Matt Fraction run of Hawkeye. That, along with the addition of characters who’ve yet to be explored on the big or small screen, makes this the perfect show to pull in references, plot lines and teasers from the comics.

It is also set up to have plenty of MCU references, especially with Kate being inspired by Hawkeye after he saved her during the Battle of New York. Along with that, there’s been some speculation of this series potential to bring back some of the street level Marvel heroes and villains from other shows, and some Easter eggs, whether intentional or not, have fueled these conversations. There have also been reference to other heroes, like Ant-Man, Black Widow and Groot.

Hawkeye Theories and Rumors

Speaking of theories, there has been speculation for a while about Kingpin’s return to the MCU, as he was a fan favorite in Daredevil; however, nothing has been confirmed yet, despite his connections to New York and Echo. Other antagonists and threats have also been teased already. Furthermore, while the Hawkeyes are more grounded in comparison to other heroes, their futures in the MCU remain big, with there being hopes for the West Coast Avengers and rumors about their appearance in future projects.
