New G.I. Joe Animated Series is Coming in 2022

Hasbro is reportedly following up on the live-action G.I. Joe franchise film Snake Eyes with a brand new animated series, which will make its debut sometime next year, according to Hisstank, a well-known source of G.I. Joe news.

The site was recently at Licensing Con Brazil and heard from Hasbro Brazil’s head of licensing, Marcelo Masotti. During the presentation, Masotti reportedly revealed that a new animated series is coming next year, followed by a second season in 2023. No network or streaming service has been named. However, Hasbro showed a brief clip that featured Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, demonstrating that development is well underway.

Fans can probably expect the cartoon to include many past Joe favorites. The roster of characters in the franchise is massive, and an animated format would allow for more involvement across the board.

Further details on the toon will be reported as they are announced.
