Netflix Officially Renews ‘Squid Game’ for a Second Season

In a new Tweet, Netflix has confirmed a second season for their surprise hit series Squid Game. They did so with a quick teaser and a message from show creator Hwang Dong-hyuk.  “As the writer, director and producer of Squid Game, a huge shout out to fans around the world. Thank you for watching and loving our show.”

He also teased the return of Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) and the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun). Also saying, “The man in the suit ddakji might be back. You also will be introduced to Young-hee’s boyfriend, Cheol-su.” It famously took 12 years for the series to be made from Don-hyuk’s original concept, seems like they might be moving a little faster on season two.
