Media company eigoMANGA is hosting a virtual panel during Comic-Con@Home 2021 featuring NBA point guard for the Sacramento Kings De’Aaron Fox.
Media company eigoMANGA will host a virtual panel for Comic-Con International’s Comic-Con@Home featuring NBA point guard and Sacramento Kings standout De’Aaron Fox.
eigoMANGA’s Publisher Austin Osueke will moderate the “NBA Players Are Anime Fans Too” panel, which will also feature Fox’s agent Chris Gaston and writer Natashia McGough Clarke (EdD). The conversation will center around Fox’s love for anime and manga, and how it influences his basketball career.
Pro basketball manager turned comic writer Andy Ikeakor will appear on the panel as well, discussing the fundamentals of writing sports-themed comic books, and will give fans a sneak peek at Fox’s upcoming manga-influenced Swipa The Fox comic book, produced and published by eigoMANGA.
According to eigoMANGA, Swipa The Fox follows the NBA star as he ventures into a basketball video game and switches places with his video game counterpart, who enters the real world and starts causing some major problems. Along the way, Fox must use his basketball skills to play his way out of the digital game.
News of the Comic-Con@Home panel featuring Fox comes days after an announcement that Showtime will host a Dexter panel featuring series star Michael C. Hall and a handful of mystery guests. That panel will stream live at 1 p.m. PT on July 25.Additionally, Adult Swim confirmed last week that its lineup will include panels centered on Rick and Morty, Tuca & Bertie, Teenage Euthanasia and Blade Runner: Black Lotus.
The Comic-Con International: San Diego Comic-Con@Home event is being held from Friday, July 23 to Sunday, July 25. The “NBA Players Are Anime Fans Too” panel will stream live on Saturday, July 24, at 1 p.m. PT on the Comic-Con@Home website and official YouTube channel.
