The intriguing nature sim Cloud Gardens from publisher Coatsink and developer noio has been delayed indefinitely, just prior to its planned release. The game, which sees you grow flora across a range of urban scenery, was due to arrive on Switch on May 12th (so, tomorrow), however publisher Coatsink cites a “minor backend issue” as the cause behind the delay.
Here’s what it had to say:
“Due to a minor backend issue, Coatsink and Noio are sorry to announce that their chill title about using the power of nature to reclaim beautiful lo-fi scenes of urban decay, Cloud Gardens, will be delayed on Nintendo Switch. The game was previously set to launch on May 12, 2022, but due to this minor setback it needs a bit more time to grow. Unfortunately a new release date can’t be announced just yet, so please stay tuned for more information which will be shared soon!”
The game has seen its fair share of positive user reviews over on Steam, so if this delay helps to ensure the game is a solid experience upon its eventual release, then we’re all for it.
Let us know if you’re looking forward to Cloud Gardens and what you make of this last-minute delay in the comments.
