Naruto: 10 Shippuden Characters Kimimaro Could’ve Defeated

[ad_1]

The Naruto series ran for more than a decade, and during that time, it introduced fans to hundreds of different characters, most of whom are ninja. Orochimaru was one of the series’ most notorious villains, as he kidnapped, experimented on, and killed innocent people, including children like Kimimaro. Kimimaro dedicated his life to Orochimaru, and at one point, he was the prime candidate to become his next vessel.

Kimimaro possessed the Shikotsumyaku kekkei genkai, which allowed him to manipulate his bone structure. He could turn his bones into weapons, and he was a taijutsu expert. If that was not enough, he also possessed Orochimaru’s Curse Seal, and when he fully activated it, he became far more powerful. Kimimaro was very skilled and dangerous, which is why he could have defeated several characters who only appear in Naruto: Shippuden.

10 Sai’s Drawings Wouldn’t Get Close To Kimimaro

sai naruto

It took some time, but Sai managed to become one of the most likable characters introduced in Shippuden. Sai’s Super Beast Scroll Technique allows him to bring anything he draws to life, but these ink creations can be easily destroyed under the right circumstances.

Kimimaro can fire bones out of his fingers like bullets, and they would be strong and sharp enough to splatter Sai’s drawings. Once they’re gone, Kimimaro can attack Sai head-on, and Kimimaro would win the melee fight thanks to the defensive and offensive attributes of his kekkei genkai.

9 Kimimaro Would Overwhelm Karin With His Taijutsu

Karin In Orochimaru's Hideout

Karin was by no means a skilled fighter, but Orochimaru believed that she was strong enough to watch over his Southern Hideout. She is part of the Uzumaki Clan, and she can use an incomplete version of the clan’s Adamantine Sealing Chains Technique. She is also capable of sensing and tracking chakra over large distances.

It is true that she would be able to track Kimimaro’s movements, but that wouldn’t do her much good. Kimimaro’s taijutsu skills are arguably on par with Lee’s, and Karin is nowhere near as skilled as Lee, which means that she would likely impale herself on Kimimaro’s bones if she tries to attack him.

8 He Should Be Able To Tear Hidan Apart

Hidan Smiling As He's About To Attack Team Asuma

Each Akatsuki member is useful in their own way, and Hidan’s usefulness came from his immortality. Hidan possesses a jutsu that turns him into a human voodoo doll, and it only activates when he ingests some of his opponent’s blood.

Only a handful of characters are capable of countering this jutsu, and although Kimimaro is not one of them, he can defend himself long enough to immobilize Hidan. Kimimaro can use his bones to stop Hidan’s blades from cutting him, and he can then use the opening to hack off pieces of Hidan’s body.

7 Kimimaro’s Curse Mark Would Let Him Destroy Akatsuchi’s Golems

Akatsuchi Leaving The Stone Village

The Third Tsuchikage is one of Naruto’s strongest allies, but even he needs to be guarded, which is where Akatsuchi comes in. Akatsuchi may be large, but he is incredibly fast, and he possesses immense physical strength. He can also create stone golems with his Earth Release.

Under normal circumstances, Akatsuchi would probably be able to beat Kimimaro, but Orochimaru’s Curse Seal drastically changes things. If Level 2 is activated, Kimimaro will have more than enough strength to plow through Akatsuchi’s golems. Akatsuchi will have a hard time hurting Kimimaro in this form because his durability and healing both increase significantly.

6 He Would Tear Through Maki’s Cloth Binding With Ease

Maki As A Member Of The Sealing Team

Maki is a female jonin from the Sand Village, and it was thanks to her that the Allied Shinobi Forces were able to seal several reanimated ninja during the Fourth Great Ninja War. She specializes in using cloth in battle for both offensive and defensive purposes.

This may be a unique fighting style, but at the end of the day, it’s still just cloth, and Kimimaro would be able to easily tear through it with his bones. At that point, it will become a taijutsu battle, and it will be extremely difficult for Maki to break through Kimimaro’s bones.

5 Kimimaro Vs. Mifune Would Be A Close Battle

Mifune Vs. Hanzo

Mifune is arguably the strongest samurai in the series, as he has mastered Lai, a fighting style that involves quickly unsheathing, slashing, and then re-sheathing his blade. This style makes it almost impossible for his opponents to weave hand signs.

A battle between these two would be very close, but Kimimaro still holds a slight advantage because of his kekkei genkai. Mifune can slash at Kimimaro all day long, but he will probably be unable to cut through his bones, and all Kimimaro has to do is catch Mifune’s sword with his some of his ribs. This would leave the samurai without his greatest weapon.

4 Suigetsu’s Sword Wouldn’t Be Able To Slice Through Kimimaro

Suigetsu In The Land Of Iron

Suigestu’s battle with Kisame is a fight that many fans forget about, and that is unfortunate because it shows that Suigetsu is capable of holding his own against someone as powerful as an Akatsuki member. As a member of the Hozuki Clan, Suigetsu can liquefy his body in order to avoid physical attacks, but he can only do this if he is properly hydrated.

Kimimaro’s attacks would simply pass through Suigetsu’s body, but he can just keep attacking until Suigestu needs more water. Once this happens, Kimimaro can truly go all out, and virtually none of Suigetsu’s sword attacks will be able to break through his defensive bones.

3 Chiriku’s Jutsu Wouldn’t Be Able To Break Kimimaro’s Defenses

Chiriku Speaking With Sora

As a member of the Twelve Guardian Ninja, Chiriku is a very skilled fighter, and that skill was on full display when he fought Hidan and Kakuzu. This monk is an expert when it comes to barrier ninjutsu, and he is capable of using the Thousand Hand Strike Technique, which allows him to summon a buddha spirit for protection.

This spirit can pummel opponents with its fists, but it wouldn’t be able to knock Kimimaro out. Kimimaro’s bones are said to be stronger than tempered steel, which means that Chiriku’s attacks won’t be able to break them. Additionally, if he activates Curse Seal Level 2, Kimimaro will likely plow straight through the spiritual fists.

2 He Can Smash Through Yamato’s Wood Release

Yamato may have not been able to replace Kakashi, but he still did a good job with Team 7. Thanks to Orochimaru’s experiments, Yamato is one of the only people capable of using Wood Release, but it still pales in comparison to the First Hokage’s jutsu.

Yamato can use Wood Release to capture or restrain his opponents, but if Gaara’s sand could not stop Kimimaro, Yamato’s wood stands no chance, especially if Kimimaro activates Curse Seal Level 2. Yamato could in theory create a forest, but Kimimaro can impale him and any tree by using Dance of the Seedling Fern to sprout thousands of sharp bones from the ground.

1 Kimimaro’s Bones Should Be Able To Block Gari’s Explosion Release

Some fans think that kekkei genkai ruined the series, but they’ve helped it quite a bit. Gari was resurrected during the Fourth Great Ninja War, and he was able to use explosive chakra because he possessed the Explosion Release kekkei genkai.

Gari combined his kekkei genkai with taijutsu, and it caused his punches to explode on contact. If Kimimaro did not possess Shikotsumyaku, Gari would obliterate him. Since this is not the case, Kimimaro can simply impale him with some bones before Gari can go in for the kill.
