Tenya Iida would guarantee that nothing gets overlooked, that the relationship with the landlord remains copacetic, and comes across as the type to grab extra supplies for the apartment’s greater good.

U.A. High’s Class 1-A is full of powerful and respectable heroes-in-training, but not everyone can be a paradigm of professionalism. Some Class 1-A students come across as mature for their ages, but it’s important to remember that these individuals are all young teenagers. Minoru Mineta is definitely one of the more immature students in 1-A. Mineta may be fun in small doses and group settings, but his intense schtick would become too much in the confines of an apartment (especially if he has a female roommate). Mineta still feels like a child in many ways.
8 Would Make: Denki Kaminari Comes Equipped With A Quirk That Improves The Quality Of Living
When it comes to the students in Class 1-A that would make for good roommates, it’s important to take personality into account, but the specific Quirk of the individual is also paramount. Denki Kaminari and his Electrification Quirk can be dangerous on the battlefield, but they also can help solve a number of apartment problems.
If the power ever happens to go out, then Kaminari is there in a pinch to power the place. Certain utility frustrations, like the electricity bill, could even be overlooked with someone handy like Denki Kaminari involved.
7 Wouldn’t Make: Any Place Where Katsuki Bakugo Lives Will Be Marked With Explosions
There’s no argument that Katsuki Bakugo is routinely one of the most popular characters in My Hero Academia, but his ornery bad boy attitude can only go so far and actually becomes a deterrent sometimes. Bakugo has grown a lot as a person and gotten better in control of his emotions, but he’s still a very explosive individual whose Quirk often gets out of hand. Bakugo is dependable and doesn’t take friendship for granted, but his hair-trigger temper and a Quirk that’s bound to leave the living space charred with explosions doesn’t sound like the best way to live.
6 Would Make: Ochaco Uraraka Pushes A Pleasant Demeanor And Strong Skills
Ochaco Uraraka is one of the sweeter students in Class 1-A, and her innocent and precocious actions make her romantic tension with Midoriya a constant delight. Uraraka sometimes struggles to find her confidence, but she’s been responsible for some crucial victories against villains. Uraraka is caring and considerate, but her Zero Gravity Quirk would also make cleaning incredibly easy and eliminate many common roommate frustrations. She’s an excellent example of a hero who has both a winning personality and enviable powers that work to avoid conflict and unnecessary stress.
5 Wouldn’t Make: Invisible Girl, Toru Hagakure, Would Be A Constant Surprise
There are dozens of incredibly strong characters in My Hero Academia, but there is also a subset of heroes that amount to little more than visual gags than practical support in battle. Toru Hagakure has experienced interesting development in the series as a result of her Invisibility Quirk.
While Hagakure’s barely-there appearance leads to some inspired comedy, it can also give her a serious element of surprise against the enemy. Unfortunately, Hagakure can’t turn her Quirk off, which means that she’s likely to unexpectedly sneak up on whoever she is living with and become more of a fright than a roommate.
4 Would Make: Izuku Midoriya’s Unwavering Optimism Makes Him Easy To Live With
Some of the characters in My Hero Academia take some time to come out of their shells, but Izuku “Deku” Midoriya is a charming protagonist right from the start of the series. Part of what makes Midoriya such a delight is that he’s infinitely positive, and even when he doesn’t have a Quirk, he’s still able to operate with the honor of a hero. Midoriya routinely thinks of others before himself and has endless empathy. In a lot of ways, he’s just an average teenager, but he’s still respectful enough that he’d make for an easy roommate.
3 Wouldn’t Make: Living With Fumikage Tokoyami Means An Existence Bathed In Darkness
Some Quirks feel like natural extensions of characters’ bodies that can subtly be activated or turned off at will. For others, a Quirk is an all-encompassing ability that goes so far as to affect their appearance. Fumikage Tokoyami is basically rendered a malevolent shadow bird because of the unusual nature of his powers. Tokoyami is at his strongest when he can freely move between shadows, which means that whoever he lives with is going to have to tolerate minimal light in their living quarters as well as chaotic movement from Tokoyami’s Dark Shadow.
2 Would Make: Momo Yaoyorozu’s Dependable Attitude And Resilient Quirk Would Make Life So Easy
Momo Yaoyorozu can sometimes recede into the background in My Hero Academia, but whenever she’s given an opportunity to jump into action, it’s absolutely electric. Momo gets elected as Class 1-A’s representative, which speaks to how trusted and responsible she is among her peers. These alone are attractive traits for a roommate, but Momo’s Creation Quirk makes her even more ideal in this scenario. Momo would be able to replicate and replace anything that goes missing or runs out in the apartment, which would be really convenient.
1 Wouldn’t Make: Kyoka Jiro Struggles With Space Issues Because Of Her Noisy Quirk
Kyoka Jiro may not immediately seem like the most helpful hero due to her relatively niche Earphone Jack Quirk. Jiro gets an excellent showcase during the School Festival, which is a touching reminder that she has a beautiful singing voice. However, the rest of the nature of Jiro’s Quirk is very loud and temperamental. A good roommate is someone who can respect the other person’s space and privacy, but an abrasive ability like Earphone Jack would mean that earplugs are a necessity for whoever lives with Jiro.
