Monster Hunter Rise Flooded Forest Relic Guide

[ad_1]

Monster Hunter Rise‘s Relic Records are a new collectable to the franchise that provide bits of lore and information about monsters and the locales they frequent. However, they aren’t all out in the open. Instead, players will need to get exploring and think creatively about their surroundings to find and uncover their secrets. Here’s how to find the ones in the muddy terrain of the Flooded Forest.

Lore and secrets aren’t the only reason to find these Relic Records. By finding all of them in any area, Hunters will unlock household decorations from Kagero the Merchant located in the heart of Kamura Village. For finding them all in the Flooded Forest, players will be rewarded with Bishaten and Somnacanth statuettes for your shelves.

Flooded Forest Message One

Hidden area above the Flooded Forest's Main Camp area

Starting from the first bit of lore, Relic Record one is found right by the Main Camp. Head forward a little, but don’t head quite all the way to area one. Looking back towards the camp, you should see a rocky overhang. Wirebug and climb up to reach it, then head back towards the camp. This Relic will be by some of the first trees you come to, beneath some stalactites (the hanging rocks).

Flooded Forest Message Two

Relic hidden amongst the boughs of the Flooded Forest

Relic Record two is well-hidden among tree roots bridging two upper parts of area four. If you’re on the pathway below where the water is, you should see them looking up. On the northern most ones towards the western wall, or the backside of the four on the mini map, is this Relic. The easiest way to get to it is by dropping down from the cliffs overlooking the roots. The side the Relic is on is partially obscured by trees, so aim carefully when falling or jumping.

Flooded Forest Message Three

A hidden entrance on the pyramid of the Flooded Forest

The third Relic Record is located on the pyramid in the southeastern portion of the Flooded Forest. Start by heading to area two and climbing up to the first ledge of the pyramid. On the left side is a Great Wirebug to help you get to the halfway point. From there, you’ll have to climb the rest of the way to the top. Follow the path around to the southern side where along its lower wall is a ledge with an opening below it. Slide down to the ledge, carefully hop down and head in to find the Relic.

Flooded Forest Message Four

Sending Sprigs hiding a secret in the Flooded Forest

This one is out in the open just south of area 11. Head up the cliffs and into the middle of them between areas 11 and 10. There among the trees you’ll see Sending Sprigs, colorful bushes containing Spiribirds and, among them, Relic Record four.

Flooded Forest Message Five

A hidden cave in the Flooded Forest

Relic Record five is tucked away in a cave in area 14. This is cave can be entered from areas seven, four, one or 12. There is an upper level to it, above the water where monsters are usually fought and along the wall here between the entrances for areas one and 12, surrounded by tree roots is a small hole a Hunter can crawl through. Inside is the Relic.

Flooded Forest Message Six

Cliff cave in the Flooded Forest

This Relic Record is near the previous one. Head north to area 12. Climb the cliffs over the entrance of the cave for the previous Relic and follow the edge heading west, just past the ancient building a bit. Face north and look across the gap to the wall across. There, is a ledge with an entrance to a small cave. Wirebug over or climb up from the ground to reach it where you’ll find Relic Record six inside.

Flooded Forest Message Seven

A Relic in an obvious spot in the Flooded Forest

Relic Record seven is located in area 11. On the eastern side by some trees are three tiers of cliffs up above. The first tier of them, by the path heading south to area nine, contains this Relic Record in plain view.

Flooded Forest Message Eight

Hidden room atop the Flooded Forest's pyramid

This next one is back on the pyramid, but truly hidden in Zelda fashion, requiring you to use a Large Barrel Bomb to blow up a wall. You can grab some by going into a camp tent if you have them made, otherwise you’ll need to craft some. With those, head back to the top of the pyramid. At the top of the western side, from area two, is a doorway blocked by a broken door. Use the Large Barrel Bomb to blow it open and head inside to snag this Relic.

Flooded Forest Message Nine

Another hidden cave in Monster Hunter Rise

Number nine is located above the Main Camp once again. On the southern cliffs right at the beginning is a spot for a Great Wirebug. Climb up and use it to shoot you far above the camp, where you’ll land in front of or very near a cave. Head inside and stroll down, if you run it will slide you to area 13 and you may miss the hidden cave on the left almost halfway down. Crawl in and get the Relic.

Flooded Forest Message 10

Massive waterfall in the Flooded Forest

The last Relic Record is located in area seven, but you’ll need to go through area 12 to reach it. At the back is a Great Wirebug that will shoot you to the cliffs above. East are some wall vines and a cliff with an opening on the other side. Wall run across to reach it and head through to the top of the great falls in area seven.

Take the pathway on the right, where you’ll see rocks jutting out of the falls. You must cross the falls using these and Wirebugs to make it to the other side. The last Relic is waiting these. The cliff on the other side cannot be reached via area seven.
