Mike Myers Teases ‘The Pentaverate’ All-New Project for Netflix

[ad_1]

Comedic actor Mike Myers joined Instagram this week, apparently only to post a slew of mysterious photos all relating to the number 5. His most recent picture, which featured a helicopter with the number 5 on the side, was accompanied with the caption “5 Days.” “It’s the fifth hour.” Overall, it appears to indicate to something coming on Wednesday, and thankfully, Netflix was able to clarify that it will be a first peek at Myers’ new comedy series The Pentaverate, which will premiere on Wednesday, March 16, at 5:55 a.m. PT, according to a press release.

Here’s the description of the project:

“What if a secret society of five men has been working to influence world events for the greater good since the Black Plague of 1347? As this new series begins, one unlikely Canadian journalist finds himself embroiled in a mission to uncover the truth and just possibly save the world himself. Remember, the Pentaverate must never be exposed.”

Myers conceived and executive produced the new comedy, in which he will also star in seven characters — yes, seven. Ken Jeong, Keegan-Michael Key, Debi Mazar, Richard McCabe, Jennifer Saunders, and Lydia West will star alongside the numerous Myers. Although little more is known about the series, it appears that this will change on Wednesday. In the meantime, Myers’ fans should follow his brand new Instagram account for further teases and, most likely, footage from the program in the coming weeks.
