The Middle-Earth Ultimate Collector’s Edition collects all six Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies in 4K UHD with HDR.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Peter Jackson’s first Lord of the Rings film, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is collecting all six Hobbit and Lord of the Rings movies in 4K UHD with the Middle-Earth Ultimate Collector’s Edition.
The 31-disc set features the theatrical and extended cuts of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, all in 4K UHD with HDR. Everything comes packed in a “puzzle box” with a 64-page booklet, art cards and more.
Also included are the following special features:
- Cannes Film Festival Presentation Reel
- Alamo Drafthouse Cast Reunion
- “The Fellowship of the Ring” – RT: 39:38 (with Billy Boyd, Dominic Monaghan, Sean Astin and Elijah Wood)

Not only does this announcement coincide with the 20th anniversary of The Fellowship of the Ring but also the recent news that Amazon Studios’ Lord of the Rings series will premiere on Sept. 2, 2022.
The Middle-Earth Ultimate Collector’s Edition set goes on sale Oct. 26 and retails for $249.99.
