Michael B. Jordan’s mystery HBO Max/DC series has been confirmed to focus on Val-Zod and will be penned by Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’ writers.

Deadline reports that the HBO Max series starring Jordan first announced in July will be called Val-Zod, confirming its focus on the Kryptonian hero. Darnell Metayer and Josh Peters will write the limited series. The pair recently penned the script for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, which wrapped production last week.
