Metroid Dread’s Hanubia only has three upgrades to collect. Samus can increase her Missile and Power Bomb reserves by fully exploring this region.
Metroid Dread‘s Hanubia region only has three item upgrades to collect: two Missile Tanks and one Power Bomb Tank. This region is on par with Elun for the number of collectibles Samus can acquire and the difficulty level for doing so. As long as players have the Power Bomb from defeating Hanubia’s E.M.M.I. unit, all of these collectibles are easily attainable. Only one upgrade requires the Speed Booster to collect, but this instance is not a complex affair like certain platforming sections found in Ferenia.
Players who find all of the upgrades in Hanubia will unlock the eighth Chozo Archives image in the Extras Gallery. These images offer small snapshots into the backstory of key Metroid Dread characters.
How To Find All Missile Tanks In Hanubia
This Missile Tank is located in the uppermost section of Hanubia. Players will need to destroy Screw Attack Blocks, a Wave Beam Cover and a Grapple Beam Block to reach this collectible’s location. The Missile Tank is simply hidden by a block at the end of the tunnel, so destroy the block to collect the upgrade.
The second Missile Tank is located in the bottom section of Hanubia. Players will need the Cross Bomb, earned by defeating Golzuna, to collect this upgrade. Samus cannot break Screw Attack Blocks while in a Morph Ball tunnel, so players must approach from the right side. Destroy the Grapple Beam Block and then the Bomb Blocks to access the Missile Tank.
How To Find The Power Bomb Tank In Hanubia
In order to get the Power Bomb Tank, players must use the Speed Booster through the Power Beam door. Samus does not have enough space to activate the Booster without running through the door. She then has just enough room where she can ready a Shinespark without falling off the edge. Lay a Bomb to destroy the Bomb Blocks, then use a Ball Spark to destroy the Speed Booster Blocks.
Players don’t need to do anything fancy with the Speed Booster this time. However, the catch with the Power Bomb Tank is that Samus loses access to the rightmost room after the door closes. If players do not succeed in destroying the Speed Booster Blocks, it is necessary to go back down through the save room and around again to reach the Power Beam door and try again.
